Element Definitions O-T

This is the third and final page of the element definitions. You can find the first page (A-C) here and the second page (D-N) here. These lists will be updated yearly because our community is always evolving. As mentioned before, it's important for us to be aware of these other identities. They are not just names. There are real people who find themselves in these lists and being seen can be life-changing for many. Which elements do you most identify with?

Omnisexual

One with a multisexual sexual orientation where one is attracted to all gender identities.

Pangender:

Being pangender is feeling an entire infinite gender spectrum that is possible for an individual to have.

Pansexual:

One who experiences sexual or emotional attraction toward people of either sex or any gender identity.

Paragender:

Someone who nearly identifies as one gender, but identifies as another in a significant amount to prevent identifying as one gender completely.

Perigender:

One who identifies with a gender, but not as a gender.

Polyamory:

The practice or desire for relationships with more than one person at a time, with all parties aware and consenting to this arrangement.

Polygender:

One who experiences multiple gender identities, either simultaneously or varying between them.

Polysexual:

Those who are interested in forming sexual or romantic relations with multiple genders.

Pomosexual:

One who refuses, avoids, or otherwise does not fit into any sexual orientation label.

Queer:

General term for gender and sexual minorities who are not cisgender and/or heterosexual.

Sapiosexual:

A sexual orientation where what one finds attractive is intelligence, rather than appearance or body.

Sapphic:

Someone who identifies as a woman who is attracted to other woman-identifed people.

Spectrasexual:

Someone who is attracted to a range of sexes, genders, and gender identities.

Transfeminine:

Describes transgender people who identify with a feminine gender identity to a greater extent than with a masculine gender identity.

Transgender:

An umbrella term for anyone whose internal experience of gender does not match the sex they were assigned at birth

Transmasculine:

Describes transgender people who identify with a masculine gender identity to a greater extent than with a feminine gender identity.

Trigender:

Someone who experiences exactly three gender identities, either simultaneously or varying between them.

Twink:

A term to describe a gay or bisexual young man with a slim build and youthful appearance.

Two-Spirit:

A culturally Indigenous North American specific gender identity in which someone performs gender roles of male and female, dressing in men's and women's clothing.
